From Humble Beginnings to an Established Team of Experts

While working at a neighborhood hardware store, Norman McDonald created Mac’s Lock & Key in 1977. He started with just 40 key blanks and a small key copying machine. He completed small locksmith jobs on his lunch breaks and after work. After a few months, his boss told him to choose between his hardware store job and his business. Norman put in his two-week notice.

The business was moved out of Norman’s apartment and into a house with a shop in front of it. The business continuously grew and was moved into prime location it’s in today on 500 West in Bountiful.

More than 40 years later, Mac’s Lock & Key has 6 full-time employees and the demand for its services continues to grow in Utah. Give us a call or stop by our storefront. We’d love to help you!
